The Berlin City Team
Our Strategy
As a Team, we seek to go where the gospel isn’t known, using our acquired education, passions, and God-given talents to enter these places.
From church start-ups to business-as-mission to mentoring, we partner with local German leaders and movements to multiply the church through creative outreach, meeting practical needs, and church planting.
Engaging Berlin in three primary ways
As A Team
Although each of us serves in different spaces throughout the city, we remain connected and accountable to one another as a team. Each member carries a role that strengthens our shared vision and supports the movement of the Gospel in Berlin.
Example of these roles include recruiting and welcoming new team members, supporting the operational needs of the team, coaching and supervising fellow team members, and guiding and protecting the direction of our team by stepping into team leadership. Each responsibility enables us to serve sustainably and in unity as we pursue this work together.
Formal Ministry
Formal ministry includes active participation in starting or supporting a ministry/church in Berlin and Potsdam. Our goal is to support a diverse range of ministries, enabling us to better reach this diverse city.
Examples of current ministries include church plants, existing churches, performing arts, family/social work, and anti-trafficking efforts.
Relational Ministry
As a team, we define relational ministry as the intentional investment of time, presence, and genuine friendship in the lives of people who do not yet know Jesus, with the purpose of reflecting Christ through word, action, and authentic relationship. It involves praying for (and with) others and stepping into shared spaces and interests with grace, truth, and consistency, allowing the Gospel to be seen, heard, and experienced over time. Relational Ministry chooses presence over programs, and patiently builds trust in everyday moments, creating space for the Holy Spirit to work as we journey with others towards Christ.
